Staying at Hotel Abtshof in the charming village of Halberstadt was a delightful experience, and it brought back fond memories of when we first visited many years ago. The hotel, nestled among beautifully restored half-timbered buildings, exudes a quaint charm that perfectly encapsulates the area's history. Our room was spacious and comfortable, offering a cozy sanctuary after long days exploring nearby sights like the stunning Halberstadt Cathedral and St Martini Church, all just a short stroll away. One of the highlights was definitely the adjoining Brasserie restaurant, where we indulged in a few homemade cakes-an absolute treat! Although we didn't try the breakfast since we were dining at the bustling Christmas Markets, the atmosphere throughout the hotel was blissfully peaceful, a wonderful backdrop for unwinding with friends. The lovely garden and terrace provided the perfect spot to sip a warm drink while soaking in the hotel's serenity. With friendly staff, a smoke-free environment, and the convenience of free parking, Hotel Abtshof is a gem for anyone looking to blend comfort and cultural exploration in one of Germany's most picturesque towns.
